Self-LoveLetter#2

Beloved,

find plenty of time to sit at the sea
smell the foam
listen as the waves move in and away from shore
let it linger in your memory
embrace its powerful message to
sit silently and enjoy the creation of life
your life
a precious gift to you
to do the best with it you can
be still
be quiet
get to know you!

reaquaint yourself with who you are
what you dream yourself to be
be thankful
be creative
never cease to be either
own your power
use it positively
lovingly
be still
find peace
it's what’s necessary

Self-LoveLetter #1

Self-love Letter #1, 2/14/08

Dear Beloved RoRo,

i love it that you smile,
even when things are uncertain,
even when you are going through hard times.
how you give even when you are in need.
i love it when you laugh out loud,
it makes life more bearable
and our sacred heart stronger.

i appreciate your taking time
to meditate,
to show yourself loving-kindness,
and that your belief in yourself
grows with each passing moment and day.

i am grateful to you,
Beloved roro,
for sticking to your weight-loss goal,
exercising daily and watching what you eat.
and most of all, i am thankful for you
just the way you are!

may you continue to grow,
love, and
be well within.

love forever,
you

Womyn of Color Writes!

I have a special interest in hearing from and reading the voyces and writings of womyn of color.
Our lives and experiences are often marginalized, commercially exploited, and all too many times have we been silenced, divided and conquered... But we have every right to tell our stories! Write it! Let's be cybersubversive! Use your words as tools and vehicles for change! Dare to be your most creative, expressive, beautiful, loving & colorful selves! Create an altar of words powerful and full of magic and miracles because we have it within us! We are miraculous and magical beings! Resilliance is in our DNA! Believe it! Be it, walk it, talk it! Go on wid your bad selves! Write on and say it loud!

RoRo in her element reflecting on random acts of kindness--11Jan2010

I want to give a big shout out and THANK YOU to Eugenia Man, photographer extraordinaire, who took the photo above, encouraged, and helped me to get this blog underway. Her generosity, wisdom, and talent is miraculous, and our meeting was no accident!
